FCDO guidance says it cannot usually help with disputes over care or costs. NHS guidance also notes that standard travel insurance usually does not cover planned treatment. Confirm specialist cover, cancellation terms, revision terms, and where you will receive care after returning home.
Surgery and air travel can both increase blood clot risk. Ask your treating clinician when you are medically fit to travel. General online time ranges are not a substitute for an individual assessment.
